Over deze auto
Watch an executive chauffeur pull away from an airport kerb and you immediately understand what conventional family transport gets wrong. The 2019 Toyota Granvia VX takes six full-sized adults and treats every single one of them like an executive in a private lounge.
Behind the wheel, the 2.8-litre turbo-diesel provides the steady, unstressed torque that makes hauling a full complement of passengers and luggage feel effortless. Paired with a smooth six-speed automatic sending power to the rear wheels, it gathers pace with dignity rather than noise, settling into a quiet highway lope that insulates everyone on board from road fatigue.
The cabin is where the Granvia leaves standard people movers behind. Instead of cramped bench seats, six plush captain’s chairs offer generous legroom and individual reclining space, ensuring nobody draws the short straw on long journeys. Wide electric sliding doors make arrivals effortless in tight bays, while dedicated rear climate zones keep the peace across all three rows.
For large households, corporate touring, or multi-generational families whose weekends involve moving several adults without complaint, the ownership case is undeniable. Proven diesel mechanics ensure long journeys remain fuel-efficient for a vehicle of this footprint, backed by the dependable reliability that keeps long-term maintenance straightforward.
Finished in graphite grey over a dark leather-trimmed interior, this example has covered just 55,000 kilometres since late 2019. That odometer reading points to gentle private duties rather than hard commercial transfer work, leaving the switchgear, leather surfaces, and carpets looking crisp and thoroughly respected.
Step into our Nunawading showroom and spend five minutes sitting in the second row. It takes very little time to realise that passenger comfort here was the primary design brief, not an afterthought.
The real hazard of owning one is that nobody in your family will ever volunteer to ride in the front passenger seat again.
