Sobre este coche
Can a family wagon from two decades ago still make everyday driving easier? The 2005 Honda CR-V Sport Wagon answers by doing the fundamentals exceptionally well, without the distraction of touchscreen menus or overly complex electronics.
Under the bonnet, the 2.4-litre petrol engine and five-speed automatic provide honest, predictable progress that never feels rushed or stressed. Power goes to all four wheels when traction drops, giving you steady composure across wet tram tracks, gravel paths, and rainy highway runs without demanding any extra thought from behind the wheel.
Inside, it comes from a standout era of Honda packaging, where expansive glass and thin pillars make outward visibility feel almost panoramic. The seating position is upright and comfortable, the rear bench folds away effortlessly to open up a cavernous boot, and the flat floor creates an open, relaxed cabin atmosphere that modern compact SUVs rarely match.
As an everyday proposition, it is about as uncomplicated as motoring gets. Parts are readily available, mechanical servicing is straightforward for any local mechanic, and the sturdy build makes it an ideal choice for a new driver, a reliable second runabout, or a weekend road-trip rig that you never have to be overly precious about.
Finished in classic silver, this example shows 230,405 kilometres on the odometer – a number that reflects a genuine working life rather than neglect. These engines are renowned for their longevity when properly kept, and the car still carries itself with the solid, rattle-free integrity that built Honda’s reputation.
Take a closer look at our Nunawading showroom and see how naturally it fits into the routine. Sometimes the most sensible answer to family transport is the one that has already spent twenty years proving it works.
It includes a factory fold-out picnic table under the boot floor, engineered on the off chance that a spontaneous lunch breaks out in a hardware store car park.
All prices displayed exclude government charges.
