Sedans of this era understood that comfort was mostly a matter of not being annoying, and the 626 got the memo.
Mazda spent the early 2000s quietly over-engineering the ordinary, and you feel it in the way the doors shut and the way this thing holds a straight line on the freeway. It is unremarkable in the very best sense of the word.
